Overview

Gensler Architects retained BNP for design and construction administration services for the San Jose Terminal Expansion Program. BNP provided design and construction administration services and increased gate capacity by adding two new positions, with the outlook of these becoming Category 6 gates with dual bridge servicing in the future.

Project Scope

The work included new point-of-use pre-conditioned air and 400 Hz distribution systems, as well as fixed link walkways.

Construction Administration

BNP’s construction administration services included scheduling, coordination of installation activities, acceptance testing, and warranty administration.

Equipment Designs

Equipment designs included:

  • 2 Apron Drive Passenger Loading Bridges
  • 2 New Fixed Link Walkways
  • 2 PC Air Systems
  • 2 400 Hz Systems
  • 2 Potable Water Cabinets
  • New aircraft parking layouts for Gates 29 and 30 to service Category 5 aircraft
