Overview
As a trusted partner of Woolpert, Studdiford Technical Solutions, LLC (STS) has been tasked by the Houston Airport System (HAS) to provide third-party commissioning for twenty-seven (27) new Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) being installed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) Terminal A and Terminal D, and William P. Hobby International Airport (HOU). These PBBs are slated for replacement under the Passenger Loading Bridge Replacement Project.
Project Details
This effort includes a full complement of commissioning services, including:
• Providing on-site installation oversight. This includes reviewing and providing feedback on the PBB contractor’s test plan for all facets of system testing and witnessing factory acceptance testing (FAT) of the PBB sequence of operations.
• Using a cloud-based commissioning platform for tracking site observations, issues, checklists, and testing progress.
• Reviewing PBB shop drawings to confirm design compliance.
• Conducting “touch point” calls with the project team. This includes commissioning meetings such as the commissioning kick-off, pre-installation, pre-testing, and testing coordination.
• Verifying PBB contractor equipment start-up data and pre-functional test checklists. Witnessing functional testing and O&M Training.
• Reviewing closeout documents, including training material, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals, warranties, and as-built drawings for compliance with specifications and as-built condition.
