BNP is proud to celebrate a major milestone alongside Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) as the Three-Runway System (3RS) at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is now fully commissioned. As the baggage handling system (BHS) consultant for this transformative project, BNP is honored to have contributed innovative design solutions that enhance HKIA’s capacity, efficiency, and passenger experience.
Since construction began in 2016, the 3RS project has been one of Hong Kong’s largest infrastructure developments. Following the commissioning of the new North Runway in November 2022 and the successful reconfiguration of the Centre Runway, the 3RS is now fully operational. This upgrade allows HKIA to handle increased flight movements across all three runways, boosting capacity and operational flexibility.
