Atif has dedicated the last 20 years to BNP and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. He has extensive experience with airport baggage handling systems, followed by work with apron systems equipment, and is currently focused on airfield layouts and designs. As a project director, he leads the apron systems team and has worked on gate layouts and apron systems design at over 100 airports. His roles encompass all stages of survey, design, and construction services.
As a leading member of a relatively new BNP division specializing in apron systems equipment, Atif began assisting with apron projects at select hub airports. Over the last decade, the division has expanded its involvement to over 100 airports, addressing all aspects of design, including apron systems equipment, airfield layouts, and site implementation. He takes pride in the fact that clients reach out directly to BNP for safe and flexible solutions to their complex needs, placing their trust in our range of services to expand their hubs and line stations. Notable projects include United Airlines’ US hub airports, including ORD, IAD, IAH, and SFO, American’s DFW hub, Delta’s MSP hub, and major international hubs such as DXB, BKK, and SYD.
Atif’s leadership philosophy is based on the principles of reading, listening, questioning, understanding, communicating, executing, and summarizing. He believes that each future project builds upon the skills and lessons learned from previous experiences, both the pros and the cons. He observes real-time changes and improvements at airports resulting from our design and construction efforts. He values working with coworkers who share the same team-oriented goals and strive to achieve quality outcomes for our clients, seeing a product go from an idea in a meeting to a fully executed live operation.
In his spare time, Atif enjoys playing and watching sports, volunteering at homeless shelters and soup kitchens, and pursuing personal growth to become a better overall individual.
